We are delighted to announce that we have just been awarded the Gold award from VisitScotland for our 3 star bed and breakfast guest house. This award is given to those who, according to the quality grading from the association, go the extra mile to exceed guest expectations on an on-going basis.

Offering a large terrace with seating area, Broomfield House Bed and Breakfast is a traditional stone-built Scottish home, dating back to 1845. In the Borders village of Earlston, under 1 hour from Edinburgh, it offers comfortable accommodation and hearty Scottish breakfast.

All rooms at Broomfield House are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, flat-screen TV with Freeview, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms have en suite facilities, or use of a separate private shower room.

There is porridge and a full Scottish breakfast, along with cereals, yoghurt, fruit and a continental option, as well as smoked salmon and scrambled or poached eggs. If you require vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free foods, these can be arranged by request, and packed lunches can also be supplied. All breakfast options are included free of charge.

The Scottish Borders is a popular choice of destination to enjoy golf, walking, mountain biking and world-class fishing. There are numerous historic castles and houses within a short drive of Broomfield House, with Thirlestane Castle and Sir Walter Scott’s former home Abbotsford House, around 7 miles away.
