We are the only AA Restaurant with Rooms created to generate profits for a charity in the World! We have held a AA Red Rosette for our Restaurant for 7 years and 4 Gold stars for the accomodation. We benefit from great access to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds; making us the best option if you want to explore the beautiful county of Gloucestershire.

On the edge of Gloucester, The Mooring Post offers award-winning accommodation and dining by the River Severn. There are luxurious en-suite rooms with river views, free Wi-Fi and parking.

The Mooring Post includes 7 individual bedrooms and 1 family room, each with wonderful views of the River Severn and restored Canal Basin. Each room at The Mooring Post has a flat-screen TV, safe, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Most have a bath with shower above and are fully supplied with luxury toiletries. The Twin Room has a walk-in shower.

The accommodation is adjacent to The Lock Keepers restaurant, which provides comforting, traditional British food with a contemporary twist. Menus include everything from beautifully seared steaks and sandwiches to light bites, lunches, brunches, burgers and puddings.

The village of Over is less than 1 mile from the centre of Gloucester, with the attractive spa town of Cheltenham less than 10 miles away. Popular Cotswolds towns are as little as 35 minutes away, and you can reach the Forest of Dean in 20 minutes.
