Pinctada McAlpine House was the private residence of Lord Alistair McAlpine during his many years of involvement with Broome. An historic Master Pearler's home prior to that, its architecture was the inspiration for Cable Beach Club. Certain bedrooms are surrounded by large verandahs which are enclosed with lattice, creating cool shaded areas adjacent to the rooms and excellent air flow. The newer rooms continue the architectural style of the original structure and blend subtley into the established garden.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Broome town centre and Town Beach, McAlpine House offers free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and an outdoor pool. This historic property was built in 1910 and later converted into luxurious lodge accommodation.

Each stylishly designed suite features a minibar, refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. Some feature a private patio with garden views.

You can enjoy a fresh-cooked meal in the BBQ area or relax with a drink in the bar. The tour desk can assist with trips to Cable Beach, Horizontal Falls and the dinosaur fossil site at Gantheaume Point.

McAlpine Historic House is 5 minutes’ drive from the Monsoon Gallery and Broome Golf Course. Broome Hovercraft Adventure Tours is 9 minutes’ drive away.
