Pension Grant was built between the wars by a Czech Judge. His neighbour was a lawyer and to show his importance he instructed his house to be built larger than the other houses in the street. When the communists came and because the owners had other properties, the building was confiscated along with many others in the town and was rented to two families. After the fall of the communists the property was returned to the original owners and sold in 1993 to the present owners Derek and Blanka Brookes. Derek and Blanka have a large family of four children and needed a large house to accommodate them all. When the children grew up and left for university and beyond Derek and Blanka decided to convert part of their house into the guesthouse you can see today.

This guesthouse occupies a historic villa in the centre of Znojmo, only a 5-minute walk from the bus and train station. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking.

The stylish rooms at Pension Grant Lux Znojmo overlook the surrounding countryside. They feature wooden furniture, a seating area, satellite TV with Czech and foreign programmes, a refrigerator and tea making facilities. The bathroom comes with a massage shower.

The Grant Lux Pension features a bicycle storage room and a breakfast room overlooking the garden and Podyjí National Park. Wine tastings and wellness treatments can be organised on request.

Hiking and cycling trails start right outside, and the scenic Podyjí National Park is only a 10-minute walk away.
