Locanda dei Guelfi is located in a historic building, belonging to the Medici Family. We are exactly in the Church of St. Barnaba's district, and more precisely in a Palace that in the 1200 century was inhabited by doctors and apothecaries and then became a Convent of Carmelite nuns until 1800.
This important Church and Convent, though ignored by the organized tourism and not well known even by the Florentines, for Institutions remains a listed building, protected by the Fine Arts.
The Locanda offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi and private bathroom. Set on the 3d floor of a historic building, it is a 5-minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station.
The roof terrace of the property is available for common use.
The rooms of Locanda Dei Guelfi are air-conditioned and come with exposed wooden beams on the ceilings, antique furniture and elegant parquet floors.
Each room features an LCD TV with satellite channels. The private bathroom includes a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries.
Breakfast at Dei Guelfi is a varied buffet. During spring and summer drinks are served on the terrace with views of the Cathedral.
