Pontepietra is a three hectares farmhouse with its land descending towards a brook that streams in the middle of it. Numerous centuries-old oak and chestnut trees make space for an olive tree grove that clambers up the slope facing on the immense Tiber river valley. Big rocks covered up in moss are scattered on the land together with the remains of a 17th century farmhouse put up a very striking picture.
The Pontepietra farmhouse was built in three different stages, growing in size as did the land farming needs. The course of enlargement works turned it into a characteristic rural house with multiple level rooves. The oldest part probably dates back to the 18th century whereas the central unit was built in 1939. In the beginning, they used the ground floor as a shelter for the cattle and there is also a small grotto dug into the live stone which the house is built upon.
The rooms offer a refined and cosy atmosphere. Each room has a different theme to it so that our guests can pick out the one that best matches their idea of a countryside holiday. A refined atmosphere is found also in the common areas so to make your stay even more pleasant.
