Built in 2013 eco friendly architecturally designed Hotel Dunes Unawatuna is located near the picturesque Unawatuna beach which is a 5 minute walk, and 5 km from the vibrant city of Galle and dutch Fort.

Entrance to Dunes is located on the main tourist street of Unawatuna with plenty of cafes & restaurants, though hotel rooms are facing the garden pond making it nice and quiet.

On the Dunes Mara tree,Monkeys hang around. There are a lot of Sri Lankan birds like the Kingfisher,Orial and butterflies around the natural pond with fish in the garden. A family of Mongoose and monitor lizards are also frequently seen. Dunes has created an excellent atmosphere for you to relax on your holiday.

Dunes was built using recycled timber, minimal concrete and localy sorted materials.It has asbestos free roofing sheets and a Sri Lankan clay tiled roof to keep the rooms cooler.
