We have been running Elder Grove since January 2000 as a bed and breakfast, previously owned by Vickys parents we worked along side them running Elder Grove as a small hotel. The house is a large traditional lakeland victorian property retaing some lovely features, the dinning room has lakeland greenstone walls and we pride our selves on serving a traditoanl cumbrian breakfast freshly cooked and sourced from local products, along with Pauls home made bread, marmalades and jams a very popular accomplimant.

Located in the English Lake District, Elder Grove bed & breakfast offers award-winning breakfasts, and a quiet bar with free tea and coffee and free Wi-Fi. Ambleside town centre is a 5-minute walk away. The property is surrounded by lakes and mountains.

The accommodation is over 4 floors and the rooms are individually decorated and feature an en suite bathroom, digital TV, hot drinks tray & locally sourced toiletries. The hosts have good local knowledge of the area and have walking and holiday information folders for guests' use.

A choice of Cumbrian breakfasts made with local produce is served from 08:15 until 09:15 in the unique dining room which features a local slate wall. Award-winning homemade marmalade, jams, and homemade bread compliment the traditional breakfast. A continental breakfast is served from 09.30 to noon on request.

Elder Grove guest house offers limited free private parking. The lower ground floor lounge has a selection of soft drinks, wine and local beers and the ground floor lounge features a fire place, TV and DVD player.

The property is 16.7 miles away from Keswick, 4.7 miles from Windermere and 7.7 miles from Coniston.
