The Chapel Guest House Bed and Breakfast, a former Methodist Chapel, offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the heart of Cornwall.
We are located in a rural position within a wooded valley 2 miles north of the town of St Austell. Formerly a Bible Christian Methodist Chapel, it was originally built in 1862 to serve the village of Carthew in the heart of the china clay mining area, this imposing building has recently been sympathetically converted to provide accommodation and retains many of the original features of the Chapel, such as the awesome arched granite windows with coloured glass to the front, and glimpses of trusses and keystones are evident throughout the building.
The Chapel offers offer luxury accommodation in 5 Guest rooms which have been simply yet tastefully decorated.
Each room has a new mattress and sumptuous topper, and is made up with crisp clean linen.
All of our rooms have En-Suite shower rooms with toiletries and fresh towels provided daily. Every rooms comes with a flat screen television, hair dryer and Tea and coffee making facilities. The Chapel is very close to many beaches and attractions, making it a perfect place to base your holiday or break.
