The house called Tungulending was first used to process lumpfish caviar. It was build in the 1950s and was in operation until the year 2000. It has a long history in icelandic fishing culture and still today it is possible to feel the former importance of this place.
In 2013 I have decided to rebuild the house, but keep the original atmosphere. Tungulending Guesthouse is located in a very special surrounding. With the pier and old harbor area it still reminds the old days and past use of the building.

Featuring a private pier and an impressive sea view, Tungulending Guesthouse is located 13 km outside of Húsavík village. Relaxation options include enjoying a drink at the bar.

The rooms feature a timber interior and have access to shared bathroom facilities. Free WiFi access is available.

Guests can enjoy the panoramic view of Skjálfandi Bay.

There is ticket service at the property. Guests can engage in various activities, such as whale watching, fishing and hiking.
